Waaah!

Someone's trying to steal my house! The offer I put in yesterday was at the asking price. Someone, through another agency, has put in a higher bid. I've just upped what I'm prepared to offer but I'm thinking carefully about how much further I can take my bid. The most annoying thing is that yesterday I was told that upon hearing my offer the house would be taken off the market. It's the classic tale, really. It's what the word "gazumping" was coined to describe. I should have expected it to be more difficult than finding a place on the first attempt.

But, but, but... *sigh*.
