Reading

When I was a child I lost myself in books. I would read anything when I was ten, not necessarily understanding much of it. As the years went by I found other things to fill my time and recently I've realised just how much time I sink into idly browsing the internet or playing pointless games for little reward. So I've made a conscious effort to restart.

I'm on Goodreads now and making use of the Kindle more.

I'm on Goodreads, if you're looking for friends over there: https://www.goodreads.com/author/show/5835160.Alice_Huskyteer_Dryden

I haven't quite worked out the purpose of friends on there, nor how to add them. Anyone I have on facebook seems to be auto added. I have followed you as an author, it seems, but I'm not sure how to become a "Friend". I don't really say much anyway, I just update progress ratios of what I'm reading and give star ratings.

Pure nosiness, as far as I can tell :) I like seeing what people I know are reading, and it means I can have conversations I wouldn't have known to have otherwise. I've also looked through the books friends have marked with five stars to help me choose birthday presents, though I'm not sure how successfully...
